Safe community tank ideas with betta?

Have a 36 gallon bow front tank, looking for some stocking ideas! I plan on getting a giant betta! What are some good tankmates for them? Love a good variety but also would rather my fish be alive 😅 I love chili rasoboras but also would love more than 2 kinds of fish. Thought about Cory's but unsure if ther have enough room on the bottom Summary list of my plan so far
