My 600 Pound Life Question Vs 1000 Lb Sisters...

I'm watching "My 600 Pound Life".. the first time I have ever watched it, so please be kind. (I know THIS sub will be, because it's 'the other sub' that is the UNKIND sub!)

There is a heavy man that has seen Dr. Now (think that's his name) and may be living with his mother and son... not sure about that. A blonde woman who "may" be his mother (looks like she is in a generation older than he is) and a younger male, who looks like it's his son...

This 600ish pound male is now in therapy... talking about how he got to where he is...

This man may be ~ 40ish (just a guess on my part) with a long dark beard and a shaved head. I don't know what his name is.

At any rate, he must have started out around 600 pounds. He was to get down to, I think they said around 536 pounds.. He went to a weigh in and weighed 525, so he outdid his goal given to him by Dr. Now.

He *had* been working to have surgery done by Dr. Now, BUT because he was able to drop even MORE weight than the goal given to him by Dr. Now, he feels (the man, not Dr. Now) thinks that he can drop all his necessary weight WITHOUT surgery... (BRAVO to this man, whoever he is!)

Update: The man's name is CHRIS. No, he's NOT "the Chris" on 1000 Pound Sisters... I don't know this man's last name. Wish I could tell you, so if any of you watch this show, it might help identify him (not that he needs identification)...

I'm just so VERY proud of him that he feels he can get down to whatever weight goal he wants, WITHOUT surgery!!

He must have started out "only" about 100 pounds less than Tammy started... (I really don't know how much he weighed when he started - I know the name of the show is "My 600 Pound Life" and the goal given to him by Dr. Now, so he could get surgery, was around 536... so I am "guessing" he must have been "around" Tammy's starting weight or maybe within a hundred pounds of her original weight.

If anyone here follows this show (I'm guessing some do) I wonder how many people ever, like Chris, decide they can lose their weight without surgery?

I am also wondering how many people go through the same fits of anger that Tammy does... I am NOT saying that I don't think it's hormones for her... because I think it very well COULD be... but I also think that there's MORE than hormones going on with her... maybe she's the "B" word... I haven't quite decided... but I think she MAY be PMSing all of the time, because I know that when I was starting to go through menopause and having PMS all of time... I had a HORRIBLE time controlling my emotions, like Tammy does, although HOPEFULLY I didn't act anything like Tammy does...
