To unlock the Marchenghast castle you firstly need to speak with Luciana. While doing her quests I noticed that her eyes were purple and thought: “Wow! How unusual that a npc has a more unique eye color. Why not ig!” And thought nothing more of it. Later when I became more familiar with the update and had started the quests with the witches I noticed again that their eyes were PURPLE… AND the name “Luciana” means “Light” in Italian which fit the whole “You need the light in the forest, otherwise you’ll dîë!”! Is this a coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Okey okey… It miiigght be a long shot but HEAR ME OUT! Sure, Luciana’s eyes have always been purple, ever since she was added to sso. But she has never been a big character. The few things that we know of her is that she is a rival to the Bob Cats, and is the co founder of her team “The Flying Foxes” with Emma and Sonja. She also works at Steve’s farm.

So, why did sso decide to use her in the quests? She isn’t even in that area (what I know of)! Why didn’t they just make a new character? Why is she sooo interested in the Marchenghast castle??? And then disappear on us when we made it to the entrance? Like gurl, you were the one who wanted to go inside?!

My guess is that she has some kind of connection with the witches. Perhaps she is a long distant relative to one of the witches who maybe fled the war? Perhaps she knows that the people is stuck in time and want to help her relatives?

Or maybe I am delusional and trying too hard to uncover the Marchenghast castle mysteries? Hopefully sso will feed us more lore and quests so we won’t be homeless children starving with unanswered questions 🫩 Btw please correct me if anything I’ve said is wrong, I didn’t really do much research…

Is this part of the mystery behind the Marchenghast castle?
