Does the Game Boy Camera work with the GB Boy Colour?

I bought a Game Boy Camera but then a big doubt came over me. does it work on the classic bootleg GB Boy Colour? Even if it doesn't, I have a GBA so it's not a big deal but I would like to know anyway since I prefer using my GB Boy.
