Job Fair still a thing in tech?

I migrated here in the UK last year and applying online for like 5-6months already.
I'm in tech and its just brutal with 10years of experience back home, trying to get referral, applying in the company website, tailored CVs, continues networking but with 400+ applications I think I got 2-5 initial interviews so I'm not sure what to adjust.

Just confirming if we have people here that recently got lucky from job fairs?
