Early on Skyrizi – CRP up and variable stoma output. Normal in induction?

Hi everyone,

I recently switched to Skyrizi after my previous biologic stopped working. I’ve only had my first infusion so far.

Recent bloodwork still shows elevated inflammation markers. I understand it may be early in induction, but I’m feeling a bit anxious about whether that’s expected at this stage.

I also have:

  • Variable stoma output (sometimes thicker, sometimes loose)
  • No fever
  • No severe abdominal pain
  • Not high-volume watery output

I have a loop sigmoid colostomy but still pass occasional mucus and small amounts of stool from the rectum due to known rectal inflammation.

My GI said it’s too early to judge response and plans to reassess after 3 infusions.

For those who’ve been on Skyrizi:

  • Did your labs take time to improve?
  • How long did it take before you noticed stabilization?
  • Did your output settle during induction?

Just trying to understand what’s typical early on vs concerning. Thanks in advance.
