"Classic Car" treatment for older ships.

Had a thought today regarding ships. I've seem so many comments from people regarding the pace of new ships leaving all the older ships in the dust. First of all, that makes a lot of sense. Car makers don't make new models in line with older models.

But then it occurred to me, what should be done is some sort of classic cars treatment for the older ships. I got the idea when I spotted an old 1940s pickup driving through town. All restored and looked awesome. That drew my attention way more than brand new pickup ever would.

How that would be implemented, no clue, but I had the thought and wanted to share.
