Looking for a "Cheerleader" Friend
I've been working on a manuscript on and off for *checks notes* uh, almost 4 years now. I've completed a manuscript before for NaNoWriMo, but I was unemployed and kind of neglected my family at the time, so it's not really something I care to replicate again. I want to try and fight against the hyperfixation cycle (I can bust out nearly 10k words on a Saturday if I'm really into it!) and just be more consistent, but I'm just not sure how to do that.
What I do know is that writers generally love it when they have someone egging them on to write more because they like what they're reading—especially if that someone is basically a stranger.
I don't suppose anybody is looking to be a friendly stranger willing to read my manuscript and bug me to write more? Not a beta-reader, I'm not looking for any form of critique yet, just a cheerleader who can get me to a finished draft.
Manuscript info:
Currently 45k words long, and roughly halfway finished by the outline. Probably leans into the YA demographic with an intentional "light novel"/easy reading style of prose. Heavier on the romance, but no explicit content, just light innuendos. Comedic. (Hopefully, anyway.) Third-person perspective, swapping PoVs.
Angie Rose is a failed adventurer, barmaid, baker, delivery girl... the list goes on. So what does she do? Open up a private investigation agency, of course! But things go south quickly when her very first clients hire her to "investigate" a certain individual's "special possession." And by "investigate," they mean steal. And by "special possession," they mean... a magical pair of briefs??
