Riu Palace

Heading to Riu Palace in August does anyone know what they are renovating there? This will be my second time in Aruba also looking for recommendations on places to check out and possibly restaurants outside the resort. What excursions are out there to do I've done the ATV excursion. Just looking to have a good time just looking for some guidance.
