27M | India | Gallbladder stone (7mm) + Grade 1 fatty liver – concerned about weight gain after surgery

I’m a 27-year-old male from India, 170 cm tall and weighing 70 kg. I was recently diagnosed with a 7 mm gallbladder stone, and my doctor has recommended gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy). I also have Grade 1 fatty liver. I’m fairly active fitness-wise and can cycle continuously for about 30 minutes and do 20–45 push-ups in one set. I’m honestly not sure how I ended up with gallstones, though I do have high cholesterol, which may have contributed. My main concern is whether removing the gallbladder will cause weight gain in the long run. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this or has medical insight.
