Factorio keeps causing my pc to blue screen and restart sometimes

Now to be clear my pc is not a low end one, It does sometimes blue screen randomly, but somehow Factorio makes it blue screen more frequently than ever. One time it even got so bad that it corrupted my files and "attempt to self repair" failed on my desktop. Is this a known issue?
