“ what is that, a burner phone?”

This is the second time I got teased by a coworker for having my Omnipod PDM in my back pocket. Actually, the first one was my district manager (who knows I wear devices but has never exactly seen them,) & I let it slide because I didn’t feel like correcting her and embarrassing her in front of everyone.

Today there’s this other guy who decided it was a really funny joke to say that I have a “burner phone” and joking like I’m into illegal activities or whatever like “what kind of mischief must I be up to“ and he’s making it into a running joke so I feel like I’m going to have to say something soon.

It’s just annoying, everyone has a phone. why are you even noticing the second “phone” in my back pocket? lol can people mind their own business ever? and it’s like if I speak up and correct him that it’s not a burner phone it’s actually the controller to my insulin pump that keeps me alive then I’m a buzz kill for ruining the joke right?

Also, maybe that’s personal information that I don’t really feel like disclosing to him?? I don’t know, I’m just torn and venting. Do I let him keep making the same stupid joke and just nod along with it or do I have to bite the bullet and correct him by admitting something kind of embarrassing
