Life Insurance - Uncomfortable, I know!
Okay mamas (and dadas), I never thought I’d post about life insurance… but here we are.
After having my son, everything changed. I started thinking, if something happened to me, would he be okay? (All those invasive postpartum thoughts.) My dad passed away when I was really young, so the idea of parental loss hits me harder. Finances were always tight growing up, so I kept coming back to that worry — I never want my child to carry that stress too.
It hit me that we insure our cars and phones, but not always the income and caregiving that keep our families running. If something happened to either my husband or me, we would be in a really hard place financially. Even stay-at-home parents need coverage — replacing what you do every day would cost a lot.
Once we got our policies in place, I felt so much peace. It’s not about being negative — it’s about protecting the people you love most.
If you’ve been putting it off, consider this your gentle nudge 🤍
Also, if you need a recommendation, I worked with a guy who’s also a parent to a young son. Knowing he understood my crazy (maybe irrational) thoughts made the process way less stressful.
