Need your advice about getting a Sony Radio.

Hello everyone,

I live in the Middle East and I’m new to the world of shortwave radios. Since access to information might become limited at times, I’m considering getting a radio that can help me stay informed even without internet or mobile networks.

I’m looking at the Sony ICF-SW7600G — it’s about $125 USD. As an amateur user, how useful would this radio be for me? How far can it realistically receive, especially from international broadcasters? Does it make sense for my needs?

Also, how does it compare to models like the SW22 or SW11? Is it worth the price compared to those?

Thank you in advance for your advice and guidance!
