Is this serious? happened at a texas mazda dealer

Should I be worried .I am pretty sure they wouldn't have the balls of actually commit identity theft if initially they were planning to do so if I write a review stating I suspect they might be scammers and identity thieves .I was about to write a review to post on Google reviews .Can there be any negative consequences .I really don't understand how this dealership is in buisness with so many new cars from 2025 and practicing these ridiculous scammer tactics .I am wondering if this might be some kind of money laundering outfit and not a good idea to go frontal against them .I am trying to figure why would they think I or anyone else would possibility fall for a ridiculous bait and switch trick unless they just wanted my personal information to sell to identity thieves. I always wondered how millions of Americans can possible be victims of identity theft and other scams.I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of car dealership employees are involved. One review explicitly states they refused to delete her personal details saying they have to hold it for 30 days .I know data privacy rights are less strict than Europe in USA but holding personal information that you don't need without any valid buisness purpose for any amount of time is definitely a crime in USA.

This is the review I am planning to write here.

I have never written a negative review in my life .I am literally being forced here for my own safety.I had a pleasant time talking with jose but that was the only positive think i can think of. (Honestly I think they used him to let my guard down so they can scam me at the very last stage ) .Basically had a classic example of bait and switch .I am starting to think there is more to it .I was haggling for the 0 percent apr deal for more than a month .They had a sheet of paper with with bunch of numbers including a ODR price 28500 for a cx 5 and made me sign it .I was sure I will be buying the car .Out of the blue this much younger dude pops up saying that they can't give me the 0 percent apr because I am a first time buyer ( I have a insurance history for close to a decade owning 2 cars but never bought a new car through finance).I have a very good credit ( top 25% -30%) .At that moment I realized he is basically b*****g.I got really pissed because I spent many hours visting the dealership twice .Very few things infuriate me so badly besides someone intentionally wasting my time .I am wasting my time here writing this review because I was wondering why would a dealer assume any customer to be so retarded enough to agree to this ridiculous bait and switch .Than I realized that I have given them a lot of personal information and they took a signsture .I signed on a paper that stated 28500 OTD price( I am educated enough to know this was not a legal document).Thankfully I have the picture of both sheet of papers with numbers on them with dates and time .I hope they( or any employee having access to my personal details ) are not in the buisness of identity theft .I have done countless buisness and personal transactions in the states for decades .There was never any incident of fraud that I suffered . If all of a sudden I notice any kind of evidence of fraudulent activity directed against me I will be forced to take all legal measures to persecute the culprit .Please do not assume I don't have the resources or time to do so as my livelihood depends on it .I don't understand how this place is in buisness as I read many other reviews that speak of fraudulent activity .If you are planning to do buisness please do read all the 1 star reviews. My experience aligns with these and I am genuinely curious how they have so many reviews with a aggregate of 4.6 star .For any one reading this review : I just want to share few lesson I learned so far .Details matter .I was deceived by the 4.6 rating. When reading reviews read the recent ones and negative ones first .I absolutely wasn't expecting this ridiculous bait and switch because It had many thousand reviews with a aggregate of 4.6 on Google reviews.Anything you sign make sure you have a picture of them .There are other minor issues I ignored frankly because of the high rating. But after reading the comments I wouldn't be surprised if these are actually not minor but very serious. I might sound paranoid but the matter of fact is after a quick search you can find out these incidents did happen in the past and no reason to assume will not happen unless you take all the precautions and safety measure .One review explicitly states they refused to delete her personal details saying they have to hold it for 30 days .I know data privacy rights are less strict than Europe in USA but holding personal information that you don't need without any valid buisnes purpose for any amount is definitely a crime in USA.
