Outgrowing Infant Carseat Already?

My son just turned 4 months and is 20lbs. He is nowhere near the Nuna Pipa infant car seat weight or height limit but is starting to really seem crammed in there? His shoulders are so wide he's like squeezed in

Did anyone else need to switch to a convertible seat long before the weight or height limits of their infant seat?
