Did You Move Back to Jamaica After Living Abroad? I’d Love to Hear Your Story.

Hello everyone,

I’m a Jamaican researcher and storyteller working on a project about identity and return migration, specifically Jamaicans who have lived abroad and returned home to settle permanently.

I’m looking to speak with returning residents who would be willing to participate in a 60 minute online interview. Among other topics, the conversation would focus on:

• Why you returned
• What the transition has really been like
• How you see Jamaica now compared to when you left
• Whether “home” feels different the second time around

This work is part of a cultural research project that will be presented in Kingston at the CSA conference later this year.

I’m not able to offer payment, but your story would contribute to a broader conversation about migration, belonging, and what it means to come home.
