Getting into fountain pens

Hi everyone,

I want to get into fountain pens and I’ve been reading a lot on Reddit this past week. I think I’m going to order a Hongdian from AliExpress, but I honestly can’t decide which one.

I’ve seen a lot of good comments about the N7, D5 and M2. But at the same time, models like the CA35 or A6 or Forest 1861 etc just look really nice to me. I’m kind of stuck between going for something that’s proven to be good, or just picking the one I like the look of most.

And about ink - Which should i get first ? I see a lot of people use Iroshizuku inks
