Are there any non sexual, non romantic ways chastity has changed you?

I'm doing research for a book and I need some input.

Aside from changes in sex or how you treat your partner, how has chastity changed you? Is your personality different? Are you more focused? How, if at all, have your habits changed? I've heard it makes you more disciplined and helps regulate emotions. Is this true?
