Reviving dead NPC's?

So I'm on my first playthrough of Elden Ring, and I just completed the Coastal Cave yesterday and gave the sewing needle to Boc. He gave this nice speech about how he wasn't ready to die yet and was gonna become a seamster like his mom. I put down my controller to go grab a water, and I suddenly hear the death noise, looking up to see him fading into dust (my right finger accidentally pressed the trigger when I put the controller down and I stabbed him in the face).

Is there any way to revive dead NPC's? I have no idea if he does anything for me, I just feel terrible about it. I just made it to Liurnia btw.
