I hate being a child

I am 17 years old. I already have my highschool degree and I am a junior in college for politics. I keep on trying to find ways to volunteer or get involved to jumpstart my political career, but absolutely everything is age restricted and I can't take it anymore. Can't adopt a Highway till I'm 18. Can't run for any public office in my area until I'm 21. Can't drink or smoke weed. Have to get legal permission from my parents to do literally anything. Apart from drinking and smoking, I am more than capable of doing all of these things if not more than some of the people who ARE doing these things. I know you guys are gonna say "enjoy your childhood while you can" but what "childhood" do I have left? It's so frustrating!
