moving PBS vm to bare metal

I have a three node cluster, one of which has been running my PBS vm, my datastore is a NFS share on my Synology.

I recently set up high availability and in the process had to rely on restoring a few containers from backup which made me finally consider moving my pbs to bare metal. My concern or question is how feasible is this? before I go down that rabbit hole, is it worth it or I'm I better of starting from scratch - can I do this without having any impact on my current setup which honestly is stable in regards to backups.

any suggestion/feedback is really appreciated, most search results gave conflicting answers, so hopefully someone from this community has experience with this.
