Failed because of parking

As the title says, I failed today just because of parking. I would’ve passed otherwise. My examiner was rude, she kept rushing me and kept telling me to drive in between small spaces. Usually, my instructor always tells me if I doubt that I can drive through safely, to just wait back so that’s what I did but the examiner kept telling me to go even when a huge lorry was driving by. She also struck up a conversation while I was driving but as soon as I responded, she told me to stop talking and focus on the road but why ask me a question?

It was my first attempt so I wasn’t too upset that I failed especially because I was already quite nervous but she made the experience even more uncomfortable and I felt on edge and anxious while driving with her. Afterwards when the examiner was giving me feedback, she was practically insulting me and was like “did you even learn?” and it felt more like she was attacking me rather than giving criticism. It got to the point my instructor had to intervene and ask if I had many any other mistakes because she just kept berating me. Then before she left she was like “well you have excellent control of the car so that counts for something. But happy birthday though” because today was my 19th birthday.

I had a bit of a cry in my instructor’s car and when I got home lol because it just felt very hostile and even my instructor was saying it was uncalled for. She’s apparently the strictest examiner at my test center which is fine but I felt like she was doing more than just being strict. I was telling a friend about it and she was telling me that examiners are not really meant to be speaking during the test which I didn’t know since the examiner was critiquing me a lot while I was driving. But my only fault was for parking and a few minors for undue hesitation (like 3 i think), regardless I hope my next test goes smoother.

The most upsetting part is having to rebook knowing how frustrating the system is but I just wanted to rant somewhere.
