No time to greive for me father.
I responded to the Vault 101 distress signal.

As soon as I entered - I was stopped by security officer Armstrong. He told me about the Vault was in chaos. A rebellion was brewing. And I was to blame :(

I was shocked. What had happened? I had to find Amata.

He let me pass after I explained I just wanted to help.

The place was a mess - a makeshift security station by acess to Vault. Tension filled the air. Old man Taylor had been made a security officer and almost shot Freddy!!

What had happened to Vault 101?!?

Taylor told me the "rebels" were down in the lower levels. So thats where I went.

Doors were blocked or broken - so had to pick me way through cafeteria. My head was racing - Amata had sound desperate and scared.

Along way I found Butch. He had stolen a gun and was acting as a guard. When he saw me, he was his same condescending self. I remember how scared he was the night me father left, how he begged me to save his mother (which I did). He talked about leaving the vault and becoming the biggest badass in the Wastes. Personally I dont think he would survive his first encounter with a Molerat.
Butch also mention there was growing maintenance issues with the reactor and water systems.

I found Amata in the clinic - I remembered my father working here - I remembered trying to get out of the G.O.A.T.

Amata told me that people in the vault had been told by the overseer that my father had let the radroaches in. That me and my father had attacked jonas and killed innocent people. No wonder everyone looked at me in disgust.

After, I talked to Old Lady Palmer. She explained the vault had been opened secretly decades ago - but many of the scouts had never returned. So they decided to reseal the vault and pretend it didnt happen. My father had been let in because they needed a doctor. But had to keep secret from me and the other youngsters that we came from the outside.

It began to make sense. Theis vault had been lying for years.

In my father's former office, I found Andy the Mr Handy . He had been made the Vault Doctor. And in his attempt to heal Beatrice the bot had killed her :(

The vault was in chaos.

I went talk to Alphonse - Amata's father and Overseer of the vault.
He had never liked me - there was always a sense of disgust towards me. I also knew he didnt like my friendship with Amata. Now I knew why.

On the way I saw my old teach Brotch in the Vault jail. I released him.

The Overseer was in his office. Looking out over the atrium.
And we talked. His words dripped with contempt and malice .

I pointed out he had killed Jonas, that he had lied to the vault and most of all, lied to his daughter.

I felt my anger and grief rise but I held it back. I explained that the vault was doomed. The population was too small and isolated to continue - that they had to open the vault to survive.
He then relised I was right. And something in him broke.

Alphonse said he would step down as Overseer - and appoint Amata. She represented the future, while he was mirred in the past.
He took off to the clinic to tell Amata himself.

She was shocked when I explained we had chatted. Amata said the Wastes had changed me, and I had saved the vault.

Then the bombshell - I had to leave forever. People in the vault blamed me still for the night my father escaped, the deaths and the problems the vault faced since. She would correct them - but it would be easier if I wasnt around .

Amata had tears in her eyes. She said it would take time before the vault would open permanently- they had to prepare. And she hoped to see me in the Wastes. She gave me a Modified Utility Suit and kissed me on the cheek.

Then she said she loved me. But as Overseer, she had to do what was best for the vault.

Before I left - I went to my father's former office. My dad had my mother's favourate bible quote on the wall. It was still there - when I examined it, there was a hidden safe behind it.

Inside was a holotape from my father and some schematics.

Then I left Vault 101.
Many of the residents looked at me with fear or disgust as I walked to the entrance.
No one stopped me.

The doors closed behind me I stepped back into the Wastes...
