Paralyzed while half in a dream — waves, vibrations, and fast heart beating

Has anyone experienced this during sleep?

Sometimes before I fall fully asleep, especially when I’m really tired, I experience sleep paralysis. My real body is completely paralyzed, I can’t move, and everything feels strange muffled sounds, like I’m underwater. Sometimes it comes in waves every 5 seconds, where my heart beats fast and I feel strong vibrations. When the wave stops, my heart isn’t pounding, the vibrations stop, and the loud ZzzzZzz sound fades. During these episodes, I feel like my heart is going to explode or I’m going to have a heart attack. The previous times were really scary, but I always eventually get out of them. I wasn’t dreaming during these episodes I was just awake and aware in my bed.

Recently, it happened again, but this time I was also dreaming. My real body was still paralyzed, but I could move lightly in the dream. It also felt like moving through thick honey, like everything was slow and heavy. I could barely make anything in the dream like people describe in lucid dreaming — for example, I closed my eyes in the dream, imagined something, and was only able to extend the floor a little. I decided to stay in it a little longer, but then got scared that if I stayed too long, it would feel like my body was going to explode. This time my heart wasn’t beating fast, and I couldn’t hear the loud ZzzzZzz noise like before — I could only hear this static, muffled sound not as loud as the previous ones.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is this just sleep paralysis mixed with lucid dreaming?
