Question about updating to .8 experimental. will my save on the experimental version be useable when the .8 update officially launches

Hey had a question about updating the game. Wanted to check if updating the game to the experimental version was safe in terms of being able to continue on the save I’m currently playing. I put a lot of time into this save and I really don’t want to see my progress lost. Does anyone know if the saves you create using the experiential version of the game saves over to/ is compatible with the official version once the update has fully launched?
