We need to talk about the no effort posts, hear me out ππ»
#What even is a low effort post?
Let's start by defining what is a low effort post. A low effort post is when the bare minimum is done, like providing the required lobby screenshot and typing a title. That's the whole post.
#Why this matters
Why am I even making this post? Because I wanna help you get gifted! Low effort posts get mostly ignored and sometimes even downvoted.
**I need people to understand that this sub, despite it being a gifting sub, it is like every other sub. Low effort posts will not get upvotes and visibility. What gets upvotes and visibility are elaborated and creative posts. Such as:**
- Providing good/high quality pics;
- Elaborating on why you'd like to be gifted the item you're requesting;
- adding more than just the screenshot image (but not filling the post to the brim with pics cause that's not good either);
- interacting positively with the community by asking people a question relating to the item. Make them engage. Comments also give your post more visibility.
#If you actually want someone to consider spending their money on a gift to a stranger, you have to put some effort into it.
The lack of effort on posts doesn't only hurt your chances of being gifted, it also affects the community. We need people to engage and discuss.
Make your request post different from the others, while still respecting the rules of course. Make it stand out and you will notice a shift.
**Don't get discouraged or mad at us for your lack of luck and success so far. I know you've got this!** π€π»
