How do films shape the way we picture Ancient Egypt?
Hello, I’ve been thinking about how cinema influences the way we imagine Ancient Egypt.
It feels like certain visual and thematic elements become 'default' in our cultural memory: monumental architecture, tyrannical rulers, religious upheaval etc.
I'm working on a university public history coursework project about how modern audiences picture Ancient Egypt, including in popular media.
I've made a very short anonymous survey (18+, ~2 minutes) and would really appreciate responses from film fans.
If you'd like to fill it out, here is the link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=mmn9LiIZaU62ARCACNKKLrpSngvZ8GJIjYfC9v0Pj_NUQTdPQkhYUlc1UTdZT0tRVFFFTzJRSktDVS4u
Thank you so much for your time and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic! :)
