housing as visiting student researcher september 2026 - august 2027?!?

Hii, I am going to go to stanford as a VSR in september 2026 and I need housing until august 2027 and I am kinda freaking out because it almost seems impossible to find affordable housing? Does anyone have any advice? I was looking at off campus housing since there is no way that I'm eligible for on campus housing but I just don't know where to look or where to begin.
