Some musings on "talking to the ceiling" (Spoilers all)

Do Carl's comments directly to the showrunners ("talking to the ceiling") ever get shown on the recap episodes? there seems to be a widespread understanding that he's a revolutionary figure even beyond his inner circle, and I'm just wondering if that's part of his reputation.

Tangential to that, when Pony does the same thing on the 7th floor, it seems like a major step for him and his relationship to the dungeon and those in power. had he seen Carl do it before that point? i'd love it if his attitudes and personality are starting to take after his best friend.
