I tracked every repetitive task I did for 30 days. Here are the 3 automations that saved me the most time.

did something tedious a few months ago: I logged every task I did in my business for 30 days along with how long it took.

The results were embarrassing. I was spending around 12 hours a week on things that could run without me. Not complex stuff — just repetitive tasks that I kept doing by hand out of habit.

Here are the 3 that made the biggest difference when I automated them:

1. Invoice follow-up — Set up a sequence in Zapier + Wave that sends a nudge at day 7, a firmer one at day 14, and flags day 30 for personal attention. Average collection time dropped from ~45 days to ~18 days.

2. Lead magnet follow-up — Built a 5-email sequence in ConvertKit and a Zapier trigger that flags anyone who opens 3+ emails for personal outreach. That list converts noticeably higher than cold outreach.

3. Meeting scheduling — Cal.com is free. Put the link in your email signature. Saves ~90 min/week just from killing the "does Tuesday at 3 work?" thread.

None of this requires technical skills. Stack runs under $25/month or free on free tiers.

I put together a full guide with 15 of these automations, a prompt pack, and a business audit checklist. Check out the link in the comments.
