Baby not taken to the doctor

When my brother Peter was a newborn baby, Mom noticed that a part of his body had turned blue. She googled this and said that the Internet told her emergency surgery was necessary. Then she said that God told her, "If I take him to the hospital, one of us will get cancer!" So, she didn't take the baby to the hospital; she prayed instead and said that God healed him.

And then when my brother Peter was 11 years old, he told my parents that he was thinking about hurting himself, but they didn't take him to a doctor or a counselor. Instead, they prayed and told him to repent. About a year after this, I asked Peter whether he was still thinking about suicide, and he said yes.

Peter is feeling fine now.
