Should a food item be cheaper if you get less things on there?

Just a thought. Years ago when I was working for my aunts restaurant, a woman would come in and always ask for a $5 bow of ramen. Our cheapest bowl at the time was $8 but she always asked us to make her a special bowl so we’d usually make her a bowl is less noodles and no meat or veggies. Well she the started to ask for just some veggies on the side, the so on and so forth with the toppings until it got to the point where she was getting a nearly $10 value for $5. My aunt ultimately let this go but I told her that she should stick to her menu and prices because this set the precedent that anyone can come in and price their own food.

With that said, if someone orders food from a restaurant with less items, should the price go down?
