Hunter Progression Help

Im trying to max out my first hunter and I am having a horrible time. Im generally a solo player. Im Prestige 1 Lvl 60, and I always get thrown into 3v1 fights where I just get headtapped through walls or charged by 3 guys with bomb lances and dynamite. Then it gets to a point where I can't even afford to being out a hired hunter. What are some tips to get a level 50 hunter? I have a hunter rotation up with 6 of the same hunter.
