What way do I pull went notching? Why does multipathing not always work? So many questions?

I used to have no problem notching missiles but I guess it was just pure luck. I no longer can dodge without using terrain. I have no idea how to notch those RVV 50G fox 3's or the MICA EM's. It feels like uptier hell
