Newpipe sometimes restarts my phone, also PipePipe possibly bricked 2 of my phones

it happens randomly, and I'm scared everytime because in december, a week after updating PipePipe on another phone it started behaving weirdly (the phone) so I restarted it and I haven't been able to turn it back on since (had been using it on that phone for a year) , then I installed the same version of PipePipe on another phone and that time it turned off while using the app and the same thing happened, can't turn it on anymore. (Both LG, Android 6 and 7, I already tried a bunch of stuff, nothing worked)

Now with this phone (Samsung, Android 9, I know I can use regular Yt revanced but the volume is quieter) I installed Newpipe instead because I was scared of the same thing happening, which it does sometimes restart it when opening a video, but at least it actually turns back on, I've seen posts about this from years ago but not recently, is it just me? Why is it happening? Is there any way PipePipe really had something to do with bricking my 2 other phones?
