I built a free site so nobody misses a bhandara near them again — students especially, please use this
I've had this thing that bothers me for years — you're hungry, you're broke, you know there's a bhandara happening somewhere nearby, but you have no way to find it. And on the other side, a temple trust is doing seva every week but only the same 50 people who already know show up.
It's not a food problem. It's a visibility problem.
So I built something about it.
I built Bhandara Chowk — it's completely free, no login needed to browse, and it does one simple thing:
It shows you free bhandaras and langars happening near you, right now.
That's it. No catch. No ads. No commission. No "premium listing." I'm not making money off this.
But here's the thing — I need YOU.
The site is only as useful as the number of bhandaras on it. And most bhandaras are never posted anywhere. They just... happen, feed whoever shows up, and disappear.
If you know of a bhandara happening — in your colony, near your office, outside a temple, anywhere — please post it. Takes 2 minutes. No account needed. You don't even have to be the organizer.
You'd basically be doing a good deed by enabling someone else's good deed. A student who skipped lunch because rent was tight. A migrant worker who doesn't know the city yet. They could find it on Bhandara Chowk — but only if people like you post it first.
And if you're a local food vendor — chaat stall, tiffin service, dhaba, home cook, anyone — you can list yourself on the site too. Free. No FSSAI requirement. No commission. Just your stall, your menu, visible to people nearby who are actually looking for real food.
The internet has ignored your kitchen long enough.

Post a bhandara. List your stall. Tell someone who needs it.
Not a VC-funded startup. Not trying to scale to Series B. Just someone who thinks real India deserves to exist on the internet too.
AMA if you have questions.
