Burning-like feeling after fall?

Following up to a previous post of mine, it's been 13 days since I slammed into the bottom step and thought I was a goner. The pain has changed and shifted and it's slowly SLOWWWWWWLY improving but now, I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this:

Feels almost like sunburn? The pain is more localized but almost feels more surface level or exterior? Feels like a searing burning pain and it's so painful and uncomfortable.
