Should I reach out or accept

I (27F) was in a FWB-type situation with a 32M for about 8 months. It was never clearly defined, but there was emotional intimacy along with the physical part. In the beginning, he called often, shared his day with me, I babysat his cats when he traveled, and I was always welcome at his place. It felt close and personal, not just casual sex. Then things shifted. He moved to a new place and suddenly said no one was invited there — but new friends were. He became more distant. Communication dropped. The effort faded. I started feeling like I cared more than he did. At the same time, he seemed to assume I was always available for sex, even though emotionally he was pulling away. That imbalance started bothering me. I began arguing with him about slow replies and feeling ignored. I’d delete messages out of frustration. Small things he did started triggering me. The push-pull dynamic made me realize I had developed real feelings. Eventually, we had a falling out. He told me he “can’t manage this anymore” after I confronted him about not responding to something I sent a day earlier. I took that as him being done with me. It’s been a week of no contact, and it’s affecting my day-to-day life more than I expected. I miss him. I keep wondering if he’ll reach out. We ran into each other at a café recently. I accidentally choked on my drink when I saw him. He didn’t speak to me, I didn’t look at him, but he acknowledged my friend and then left the café and stayed outside smoking. It was awkward and unresolved. Now I feel like I need closure. I want to tell him that I did have feelings for him and that this dynamic hurt me. I don’t know if that would free me or just reopen things. Part of me thinks silence is stronger. Another part of me feels stuck in constant hope that he’ll text.
