Should I change my university major?

Hey everyone, I'm a second year uni student and I’m in a dilemma right now. In my first year, I guess I was overwhelmed with the difference between high school and uni, and bc of that I failed 3 courses, one of which is very important for my degree bc it's a prerequisite for many upper level courses (I'll call it course 1; I'm a CS major). This year, I retook course 1 and had final exams for that and statistics, and I found out that I failed stats (it’s required).

I enjoy the courses in my major, I haven’t taken a lot because I failed course 1, but the ones I did take I enjoyed. However I’m getting very bad grades, and even though I want to do well I feel unmotivated. Should I change majors? A part of me doesn’t want to because it feels like giving up, I already spent a lot of money, and I’m not too sure what I’d even switch too, but another part of me thinks is it even worth it to move forward if I keep getting these horrible grades? I haven’t gotten my grade for course 1 back yet but now that I’ve gotten stats back I don’t feel too optimistic.

I am currently retaking another course I failed (to clear up any confusion, I took course 1 in the fall semester, it is currently the winter semester), and I can take stats again in the summer, and if, god forbid, I fail course 1 again, I could also retake that in the summer, but I just don’t know if it’s worth it anymore. It's really unfortunate bc I don't actually HATE my major, I'm just a bit lost and would really like some advice!
