What's that 1970s movie about a little league baseball player who stops playing to boycott Cold War tensions between the US & USSR. . . and then a whole bunch of other sports stars join him?

Google keeps telling me it's The Bad News Bears, and I KNOW that's not right.

1970s. (Possibly early 80s) - Live action - English (USA)

I remember a little leaguer watches the news, gets depressed about the state of the world. Decides to boycott baseball until world peace (or something).

He makes the news. A superstar athlete in another sport sees, visits the kid, and joins the boycott. Lots of other athletes from various sports join in and I think there is then a US-USSR summit on the kid's farm.

I'm drawing a blank. [Possibly a TV movie because I'm blanking on cast too.]
