work safe bc: Vocational Rehab Plan

I got a knee injury in 2021. they set up a vocational rehab plan for me of 141k to go back to school.

I have decided to go through with a certification instead of a diploma but now my case manager is paying me 1000$ on top of my base pay.

i thought this fund of 141k was going to be paid for me in biweekly payments.

i thought this amount was money assigned to me. this is what’s in the letter: “Once you decide to participate, monies will be paid directly to the formal training provider of your choice.

The bulk of these funds will be issued in the form of bi-weekly payments to you during the length of your studies toward becoming a Lawyer, should you follow that career path.”

So if i choose to not go to school longer; i wouldn’t be getting the full amounted funds.

does that make sense? i thought this money was mine to begin with so how come they won’t give me the funds after

can you help me understand if i should appeal this or get a lawyer to assist me
