I'm reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and i have questions I hope someone can answer regarding it.

it has come to my understanding that Meditations is held at a high regard, and I understand Marcus Aurelius made this book initially as a diary to himself. The issue im having with the book is that I understand people's liking towards stoicism, but I cant grasp how anyone could actually believe it and fully commit to becoming Stoic after reading the full book.

for I have researched debates and discussions to try and understand both sides, and I read this book head first with a very open mind since I had no clue whatsoever about this whole controversy, but I honestly can grasp an understanding on how anyone could fully believe in being a Stoic.

I watched videos over an hour long about why people dont believe becoming a Stoic is good, but I cant find alot of very well spoken strong believers who are Stoics.

so please, if anyone is able to shed a light on the perspective of Stoics, for despite reading the whole book of Marcus Aurelius, I just need to understand peoples thought process and perspective to anyone who is believes in this.

(also, I am very uneducated about all of this, that is why im asking these questions. if i have offended anyone, please be aware it wasnt my intention to)
