Renting a car at AUH Airport

Renting a car from abu dabhi airport

I am planning to rent a car from Abu Dabhi international airport.

I am looking at google reviews of all these rental car companies over there and seeing horrible reviews, where people were overcharged, insurance upselling and all the third world shenanigans. Can any of your share your experience please. Which rental car companies to look forward to and which to avoid. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Update : gunning on either Hertz or Avis, what are your recommendations. Also question, should I bring my own dashcam or am I just going overboard? Also do they take American express credit cards ?
