Anyone else had this problem? I have a 2023 Kona sel. I am the second owner, I’ve had it for 2 years now. Had 21k miles when I got it in 2024, now at 41k.

Last year my low engine oil level warning light came on. I took it in a the sensor was faulty, so it was replaced under warranty in June 2025. Hadn’t gone off again at all until January 2026. I took it into the dealership an hour away (the closest to me, but not where I bought it, also where the sensor was replaced). At that time it had gone off on a Monday and Tuesday and then didn’t show up again until the following Wednesday and then not again before my appointment the following week.

They said they this, “1. UPON THE DIAG I FOUND THE GASKET ON THE HARNES CONNECTOR WAS PINCHED AND HAD A SMALL RIP SO I

REMOVED IT CLEANED IT ADDED DIE ELECTRIC GREASE FLIPPED IT AND INSTALLED BACK ONTO THE CONNECTOR

AND FOUND THE CONNECTOR WENT IN SMOOTHLY AS IT SHOULD NOW. TEST DROVE AROUND 50 MILES AND LET

SIT OVER NIGHT AND NO LIGHT CAME ON. ALSO WAS ABLE TO WATCH THE SENSOR DATA AND CONFIRM IT WAS

WORKING AS IT SHOULD”

A little over a week goes by and the light comes on again. So when visiting family, I took it to the dealership I bought it at and they said they found corrosion and cleaned it up and it was fixed.

That was Friday. . Today while sitting in target drive up, it went off again. I am scheduled to take it in at the end of march next time I am there, but has anyone else had this issue at all?

The first time I had it in, they replaced the sensor and did a software update for a know issue.
