Alternating Tret and Adapelene

Hey yall, Ive been on tret since October and have worked my way up to doing 6 days out of the week with .025 cream. My problem is my skin is so sensitive and I have a lot of redness and post acne hyperpigmentation still. I have tried using azaliec acid but my skin seems to not be able to handle it with using tret nearly every night. I’m also still experiencing periodical breakouts with big cysts/pustules that set me back even farther bc it just adds more PIE. I’m considering giving Adapelene a shot since it is less irritating, but I still want to retain some of the anti again benefits of tret. Does anyone have experience alternating between tret and Adapelene every other day? I’d likely just use .1 Adapelene to try since it’s OTC.

My routine:

Am: wash with water, glycerine+illyoon ato concentrate cream, sunscreen if needed (I live in rainy NW Washington where the UV isn’t strong and I’m not outside a lot)

PM: round lab dokdo cleanser, .025 tret cream 6x a week, Illyoon to concentrate cream
