Laid off and want to know about my refinance options.

I've been recetly laid off, my company told me that technically I'd still be an employee until end of April. So my question is can I still go with a refinance and do not disclouse my lay off situation? does anyone know if my company tell them I'm about to be terminated soon? cause technically I could transfer to an internal job...
