Ship Building Question-

Is it normal that you can't build a ship more than 60 meters fore to aft? I've tried to modify vanilla ships, just changing habs, and the game freaks out and won't accept the ship if it's over that limit. Many of the vanilla ships are longer than that amount.

I'm not using any mods atm. Maxed out Ship Design. I'm only level 29, could that be the problem? I had a former game that went into meltdown, where I could make longer ships. I thought 80 was max.
