So the final "community visioning workshop" is happening tomorrow at the Discovery Center from 3pm - 630pm and I'd highly encourage people to go to it and ask questions, give input - even if its opposing a new expo center.

I can't emphasize enough much close access we can have to the input process right how - especially if this does go through.

It's going to be a full hands on participatory workshop and this is the time where you can ask about things like it being a full functioning 3rd place, potential retail/commercial stores in the center. Apparently even potentially apartments could be on the docket. There's alot of potential to shape what happens.

This is how I found out that Bass Pro and O-Reilley's cant use our current one because its not big enough for them and doesnt fit their needs. That's alot of money being spent elsewhere. It's also how I found out the difficulties the city has with the current property management group and why its been so hard and difficult to rennovate, allow events during weekdays - and basically any outside the box stuff.

Unlike most protests, you actually have direct access to city officials and people in this space. Please show up. Note, the SGF article linked here is actually accesible to all.

Final Visioning Workshop for the Expo Center on 2/26. Seriously, show up.
