How stupid hard has OLD become
62M
I have used OLD over 15 years and had 4 relationships out of it. 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018. EH, Match, Match, EH.
So here I go 2 months ago and fire up EH, Bumble and FB. What a difference it has been. 3 connections total. Couple other interactions( I've turned down the dregs that surface of course) One off of each platform. Not enough attraction on one. 3 weeks on the other till the barfly showed itself. And one that went super for 5 days with 2 fabulous dates and then "we aren't a match" text, cya (think an adult live in child objected to my D politics, and I m moderate). I am hunting in the 2009 and 2012 success area again.
The past years I was hooked up within a few weeks or so. None of the swipe bs.
I just wonder if the Tinder swipe has almost ruined OLD. Degraded it to such a callous one time action. Why would the companies pursue this model? Keeps us on there longer? More money to be made in failure than success? Started Tinder a couple of days ago and next to nothing.
I m checking the long term box. Decent photos. Full profile.. Etc etc etc.. I mean I've done this before with success.
Guess I'm just here bitching because it feels so limited and yucky now.
